Harghita County Council starts its activity within the RECULTIVATUR international project aiming religious tourism development

In the first part of the international project, in which Harghita County Council participates as a partner, the information and knowledge of partners were collected and accordingly was elaborated the database on architectural and cultural religious heritage and the General Guide for the development of these. In four counties, including HarghitaCounty, the project implementation has been put into practice. As part of the pilot project, a common training programme and training curriculum was elaborated in order to improve the knowledge of the stakeholders from religious – tourism field (religious and civil organizations, public authorities and accommodation providers). Successful health evaluation program organized by twinned counties for the 7th time

Between 20th and 24th of May in Lupeni the 7th health evaluation program was organized by the General Assembly of Bács-Kiskun county, the twinning county of Harghita county in collaboration with Harghita County Council.  At the end of the event the press conference was held in the Mayor’s Office in Lupeni. Mayor of Lupeni, Mr. Lehel Kovács expressed his gratitude for the nine specialists of Bács-Kiskun County for their hard work dedicated within the health evaluation program. The partners of the SEEMIG project have met in Budapest. The aim is decreasing the emigration rate

One of the goals of the local authorities participating in the European Union’s project called SEEMIG is to keep the creative youth of Seklerland behind the borders. The Romanian participants of the European Union financed project are Harghita County Council, Municipality of Sfântu Gheorghe and the National Minority Research Institution based in Cluj-Napoca, who are dealing with the thorough analysis of demographic processes and the labor market in Seklerland, as well as with organizing the regular data collection concerning social and economic processes. The 13th day of the month Sometimes we worry about this number, mostly when it falls on a Friday. For me it was a half wrong matter. As it was the 13th, but instead of Friday, Monday. I’m standing and waiting

I am innocent, and I’m waiting to prove my right, to prove that all I am accused with is unfounded.  Up to this point, the field was open for those who had interest in push me away from the front of the county. In a country where with enormous funds it is built only a very short highway, we proved with my colleagues that from small funds we can build, renovate, and between 2008-2012 increased by 50 percent the length of the asphalted county roads in Harghita county, in order to have driveway also in the villages which were doomed by the Ceausescu regime to offer them a normal life …

Youth in Action Program – Project Harghita Youth 2020 Conference

The objectives of the project: The main objective of the project is to have a concept of a youth strategy for the 2014-2020 period. By organizing consultations with members of youth organizations their ideas are collected and included in the youth strategy of the county. Another aim is to harmonize the youth strategy with the Europe 2020 Strategy.
