Through the use of local raw materials, we offer solutions for social problems as well, therefore vocational training activities have to be oriented and linked to wood processing industries” – considers the president.

Discussions  were  continued  by  interventions  related  to  EU  wood  policies  and situation analyses  presented by Mrs. Lovisa LILLIEHÖÖK, officer responsible for EU wood   policies,   on   behalf   of   General   Directorate   for   Agriculture   and   Rural Development, and Mrs. Laura CANALE, head of European Affairs and International Relations Department.

Mr. István Becze, county councillor presented the Natura2000 project and assistance of biomass production. Mr. Tibor Bajkó, suggested that wood processing company representatives have to be linked to a quota based system in order to procure raw material at market price; the raw material exports for non-EU members have to be stopped; the secondary raw material exports have to be reduced with 50% for non- EU  members and a legal system system has to be set up in order to settle the establishment of local or national wood protection fund.
