Considering the previous implementations, the Harghita County Council and its sub-institutions made a project portfolio, which reveals future activities, aims, plans and project concerning the development of Harghita County and the new ideas as well. This project portfolio was accepted at the Council Session on 30th May. The portfolio can be found on the following link: http://hargitamegye.ro/testulet/tanacshatarozatok/elvi-hatarozatok.html.
The portfolio includes the idea of optimizing the relationship with the press representatives in order to improve the mode of communication with the inhabitants. The activities through which culture and traditions are promoted; the initiations about youth, sports, family, tourism, volunteer firemen and Roma people, and the organization of educational competitions are continuously supported. Additionally they support the events regarding minority rights and obligations, healthy lifestyle, education of youth, and activities which aim is to develop Harghita County’s values.
Moreover, there will be road works, mostly the reconstruction of the following road sections: the section nr. 137 (Odorheiu Secuiesc-Cristuru Secuiesc), section nr. 131, 133, 137A, 128 and 125 county road, the construction of sidewalks and the continuation of the Kisvillany, Kisviz program. Furthermore, road sections like Șoimoșu Mic-Cristuru Secuiesc, Miercurea Ciuc-Sântimbeu Băi, the road to Uz Valley, and the road to Păuleni Ciuc will be improved.
In the portfolio we can also read about the support of projects which deal with archeological activities regarding the protection of monuments. The Public Service of Mountain and Cave Rescue from Harghita County Council will continue the construction of biking paths in mountain regions, will organize programs to recruit volunteers in the coming years, and they would also like to build bases in Borsec and Băile Tușnad. The development of the Psychiatric Hospital from Tulgheș and the enlargement of their equipment can also be found in the project portfolio along with other development project regarding the plans for the Emergency Hospital of the County from Miercurea Ciuc, as well the plan of moving the Hospital from Șumuleu, providing apartments for doctors and building of a runway for helicopters. The Development Agency will continue the promotion of Harghita County at expositions in order to attract investors in the county, as well the construction of an industrial park.
- I think that we should be proud of everything, for the things we could succeed to achieve together; our main role of our every activity was to improve the living standards in Harghita County. The content of the portfolio also shows everything which we leave for the next establishment, they will see the things which worth the effort in the future. It will also be the base for the new county councilors.
