The works of 15 European artists, among them of Mrs. Ildikó Márton and of Mrs. Imola Veres from Harghita County can be viewed in Lecce, South Italy within the Travel Exhibition carried out in partnership with Harghita County Council, within the framework of CreArt (Network of Cities for Artistic Creation) EU funded project. The location in Lecce is the second station of the Travel Exhibition.
The first stop of the European travel exhibition entitled MORE REAL THAN THE REAL was in Valladolid, Spain, while the venue was the former church, called as La Pasión. In this place the works of 17 artists from 14 different European regions could be viewed. These winning artistic works have been selected by Mrs. IIlaria Bonacossa, Italian curator from among sixty applicant creations - including 10 from Harghita County.
On 5th of October the exhibition moved from Valladolid to the city of Lecce in southern Italy, to the exhibition place of Palazzo Vernazza. At the opening ceremony Harghita County Council was represented by the two winning candidates from Harghita County, namely by Mrs. Ildikó Márton and Mrs. Imola Veres. During November the travel exhibition moves to Arad, Romania, where between 14th of November and 14th of January will be available to visit the exhibition.
CreArt project partner meeting during the exhibition
On 4th of October the second project partner meeting of the CreArt project took place in Lecce. Harghita County Council was represented by Mrs. Erika Zonda, project manager and Mrs. Margit Ábrahám, financial manager.
During the meeting, the participants presented the achievements of the CreArt project, and discussed the following activities related to the project's management and further promotion.
Harghita County Council, through the realization of “Together for a stable future!” framework programme, currently is participating in many EU projects. The CreArt project, along with the CLEAR project contributes to the realization of the Culture and Heritage sector’s objectives.
The main objective of the CreArt project, within the programme of Culture 2007-2013, is to support cultural cooperation by its main activities related with creativity and art.
