Harghita County Council organizes a workshop in the field of youth in Brussels

Hargita County,and by their way, Transylvania is represented once again this year on October 14th, on the European week of regions and citys in Brussels, where 187 delegations of citys and regions take part from 28 countries. Oragnized by the Committe of Regions, Hargita County takes part as initiator and leading partner, putting accent on the youth this year, in the so called Meeting Place workshop with their program EU Regions - Partners of Youth. Co-organizers are the Committe of Regions, with partners such as Directorate General of Catalunyan Youth, Heves municipality, Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg municipality, Alin Nica, the romanian delegations president of The Committe of Regions and last but not least the For Hargita County Association.
Hargita County Council deems this initiative very important, since this way, it can promote the education, workforce and social integrations of the younger generation, a matter, that causes problems in most European countries. In this regard they present good exercises, so that professionals, region representatives and the youth, have the chance to issue suggestions for those problems, that the young generation faces nowdays. There is a chance for all of this at the so called Meeting Place event series, were participants will have the chance to create connections, debate and conciliate points of view, creating a practical and comprehensive view on strategies and suggestions on az European level, and it’s implementation on a regional one. At the same time a very important role falls on the report „European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018)” made by Csaba Borboly, as a CoR raporteur, which was passed with majority vote by the CoR in February.
