You could have heard from the press that the National Anticorruption Directorate’s regional office at Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureș) relaxed the restriction in the proceedings against me. So starting with June 12 I can leave my place of residence, I can travel within the borders of the country without any restriction, but I cannot practice my power as the county council president in order to avoid any conspiracy, illegality. I hope that the investigation will be finished soon, and the limitation will be dissolved and we talk about weeks, not months.
However, any matters concerning the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (DAHR) Ciuc regional or Harghita county matters I can proceed freely. I know many people say that this is not enough, and they expect more from me, but please believe me, that all the troubles, problems and difficulties that are now affecting the country's budget, the general state, fundamentally all arise from political problems. DAHR is not in the Government since one year, and you can see how many unexpected things happened during this year, we have not though of before. That is why it is very important for next year, also an election year, as well as the fact that the Szeklers, Hungarian from act consistent and coordinated act in representing their interests. You could see on December the 9th, how difficult it is to achieve a fair result, and therefore how much work needed to be done. Do not sit back! May of next year there will be elections at the European Parliament, and I hope that we can pull together a a joint list because we need to go over the 5% to be able to achieve that everybody will hear our voice in the European Parliament in order to stop the elimination of deprivation of our rights an to preserve our identity. In the last several years Harghita County, brought the majority of the votes! With cooperation, next spring should achieve a similar result.
I would like to thank all you for the encouraging words! Beyond the consciousness of my innocence this is what actually gave me strength during this time, and thanks to this I feel more and more confident that this is just a downturn in my career, and there is still a lot of work to do. All the projects, the process we started in order to make Székely Land more beautiful, more powerful, is waiting for us. I have faith that I will soon be able to continue in the same vigor the work, we started in recent years.
I would ask you not to call me, don’t contact me, don’t write to me with issues related to my presidential function in county council because my hands are tied, I hope, only for a short period of time.
