Youth in Action Program – Project Harghita Youth 2020 Conference

The objectives of the project:

The main objective of the project is to have a concept of a youth strategy for the 2014-2020 period. By organizing consultations with members of youth organizations their ideas are collected and included in the youth strategy of the county. Another aim is to harmonize the youth strategy with the Europe 2020 Strategy. Harghita County Council aims to identify through this project the possible financial and material resources for a mobilization of those, and to have a guide of best practices for strategies at the end of the project.

 Events so far organized within this initiative of developing a youth strategy for Harghita County:

1. The opening of the program and project in Miercurea Ciuc.
2. Consultations with regional youth organizations in 2 different locations (Odorheiu Secuiesc on February 15, Miercurea Ciuc on March 21)
3. Consultations with the leaders of local administrations and disadvantaged youth in Miercurea Ciuc.
4. Consultations with regional youth organizations in the Gheorgheni region on 29^th of April.
5. Harghita Youth 2020 Conference in Miercurea Ciuc between 23-24^th of May.

Further events, conferences and meetings are planned to be organized during this year for the project’s successful implementation.
