I am innocent, and I'm waiting to prove my right, to prove that all I am accused with is unfounded. Up to this point, the field was open for those who had interest in push me away from the front of the county. In a country where with enormous funds it is built only a very short highway, we proved with my colleagues that from small funds we can build, renovate, and between 2008-2012 increased by 50 percent the length of the asphalted county roads in Harghita county, in order to have driveway also in the villages which were doomed by the Ceausescu regime to offer them a normal life minimum driveway.
Over the past five years, since I'm the county president, we are eliminating those white spots in the county where is no electricity, we develop the tap water network, because in order to keep the youth in the villages, so they don’t go to the cities, and abroad, there are three essential things needed: asphalted roads, tap water, electricity. If all these exist, they can farm, and manage to live in decent conditions.
And of course there is much more, for example, that our county has been started a normal dialogue between the Romanian and the Hungarian community representatives. We would like to solve our problems locally, we do not want to run Bucharest, Budapest or Brussels with it.
The essence of the problem is, that sooner or later I get an opportunity to explain my arguments, to expose my point of view, until now I had chance to do this only during two brief court hearings. I reassure everybody: as the process moves forward, and as it will be permitted by the applicable laws, everyone will be able to study all the material, all the arguments and counter-arguments and then decide what is the truth. Members of the press can look for my lawyer, the legal arguments and the position will be described by him during the process.
As for me, now I'm interested in the ongoing investigation to move forward, and succeed to extract reveal the truth, to be listen to this my own point of view, with letters, instructions, protocols, reminders, final court judgments made by other authorities based on experts’ opinions.
So I stand and I wait, and I thank you for all the compassion, prayer and the intention to help, encouragement, in which me and my family had part in the recent weeks. This support was what got me through the tough minutes, hours, days. Thank you for all.
